Volleyball Senior Night, Knight Times

This year’s ICCP volleyball senior night was on Tuesday, October 15th. The night started with JV beating Timothy Christian in two sets with the score 25-21 and 25-19. Before the varsity game, the seniors were honored.

Each senior was announced individually and was escorted by their parents. They were given a flower and took pictures. The entire gym was decorated with posters for each senior. There were many students in the stands supporting their fellow classmates on their special night, and their energy was really felt the entire game.

The varsity game started at 6:30 P.M. and it was a very energetic and exciting game. The varsity team won in two sets and the whole team was happy that they could win on such an important night like this. The younger players each made a poster for one of the seniors. I helped organize who made what poster and made sure that everyone made at least one. Everyone also gave some money to go towards the senior’s gifts.

After the game, the team got to celebrate their win with pizza and snacks. The seniors also each received a gift basket filled with a scrapbook, a makeup bag and some other gifts from the rest of the volleyball program. The seniors opened their gifts with excitement and sadness as they know what the night meant for them. The seniors were so thankful for their gifts and this night that they will remember for many years to come.

The seniors were also grateful for everything the program did to make the night extra special for them.  Now, the varsity team is in the playoffs and wrapping up their season. Everyone, especially the seniors, are super excited for the post-season games.
