On October 16th, students and faculty alike represented IC Catholic Prep at the first open house. The gym was filled with tables that featured every club and sport the school has to offer. The main building bustled with activity as every department had teachers present to showcase the stimulating and advanced courses that are part of the ICCP curriculum. Knight ambassadors and other students were selected to assist in helping guests find their way through the campus. Throughout the night, parents and students were able to attest to the warmth and strength that makes ICCP the institution it is.
Mrs. Kanzia was incredibly pleased with the turnout; there were a total of twenty communities represented by future knights, an increase from previous events. She would like to give thanks to all who made the night a success because the open house “takes a village”.While open houses are an important part of the recruiting process, Mrs. Kanzia said “ we never know what impact we have on a middle school student or parent just by interacting during a shadow day, at our games, a math competition, our plays, or an art show.” She encourages ICCP students to be conscious of the role they play in the community because she loves to hear that prospective students are impressed with students they encounter outside of ICCP.
As a reminder, ICCP is hosting an open house on Sunday, November 17th at 2pm and the entrance exam is set for December 7th.
