Immediately following today’s Mass in Honor of Mary and Academic Letter & Pin Distribution Ceremony in the Immaculate Conception Church, Tom Schergen, principal, honored the November Students of the Month.
Students of the month are recognized monthly for their positive influence on the IC Catholic Prep Student Body through exemplary qualities of character, citizenship, service, & leadership along with their involvement in extracurricular activities.
Schergen noted that the female student of the month Our female student of the month is a young woman who has been actively involved in the guitar ensemble performing in many events. She is involved in multiple sports, clubs & activities. She frequently serves as a hospitality minister at Mass. He noted that her nominator mentioned that “we have seen what a lovely, kind person she is in the classroom. She consistently says hello to teachers and colleagues in the hall, another hallmark of an emerging leader. Congratulations to Samantha Pantoja.”
“Our male student of the month is a young man who has gone above and beyond to support the Fine Arts and technology programs at ICCP. He has been instrumental in the inception of the Robotics Club this year along with actively participating in the E-Sports club,” said Schergen. ” He served as mechanical engineer of the Fall Play WCKY. He has taken on a leadership role in our Technology Department fixing broken Chromebooks and getting them quickly back into classrooms for student use.”
