Since we must become like Christ if we are to live with him, his passion and death becomes our suffering as well. The climax of the battle between good and evil that began in the readings of the first week of Lent now occurs. A Christian must walk the same road as Christ. Protected by the Spirit, we too will be victorious.
What is the most meaningful part of the passion story for you? Why does it affect you so deeply? Let us offer for Holy Week: to pray for all people in the world who have had and are suffering from the Coronavirus and to pray for all those who have died from it.
Let us pray: Heavenly Father, show us the path that we should follow and prepare us for battle between good and evil. Send your Spirit to protect us so that we will be victorious like Christ. Amen.
