We are welcoming six (6) new faculty and administrators to the IC Catholic Prep family this school year. In the following series, we are sharing short bios about each individual. Today let’s meet Mr. Bob Lim.
Question: I teach/work in education because…
Bob:I enjoy working with young people and seeing them develop in character and succeed in school, athletics, and life.
Q: What inspires you about teaching?
Bob: What inspires me about teaching is that, no matter how much the world and technology progresses, kids are still kids and they are all generally good. You just need to be able to figure out how to reach them. It is amazing to see it all click when students and educators sync up and learning comes to life.
Q. Please share a quote from someone that inspires you, gives you strength and describe why when you reflect on the words.
Bob: “Things turn out best for the people who make the best of the way things turn out.” – John Wooden. This inspires me because in times when things are tough, it reminds me to make the best of any situation.
Q: In your brief tenure with IC Catholic Prep, what impresses you the most? Why?
Bob: I am most impressed by the dedication and helpfulness of the faculty and staff, as well as the amount of respect the kids have for the staff and each other. This impresses me because in my experiences I have not always seen this level of mutual respect at other schools.
Q: Undergraduate Degree, Major, School
Bob: Bachelor of Arts, Physical Education / Athletic Training, Coe College
