Principal Dispatch—Happy Thanksgiving

We are Grateful

Happy Thanksgiving! This year, more than ever, we are mindful of the many blessings we have received from God, including family, friends, and the gift of life itself.

As principal of IC Catholic Prep, I am thankful and humbled for the opportunity to serve our young men and women as they challenge themselves academically and grow spiritually.

I am thankful for our parents. Time and time again, I receive compliments on the strength and closeness of our family community. We have a dedicated Parents Club who work diligently to ensure our school remains vibrant and community-based. We have many parents who give of their time, talent, and treasure to make our school a great place where students thrive.

I am thankful for our faculty and staff who model Christ’s love for our students on a daily basis. It is an amazing feeling to see so many individuals going above and beyond in helping our students become strong intellectually, spiritually, socially, and emotionally.

I am thankful for our alumni and many benefactors who believe in the mission of IC Catholic Prep and make our work here possible through their support, prayers, and generosity.

Finally, I am thankful for the gift of our students. To witness the growth and maturity from freshman year to the moment they cross the stage at graduation is truly inspiring. We are grateful to witness the wonderful things they accomplish in their lives.

Return to Hybrid Model

After a brief transition to Remote Learning, we plan to return to our Hybrid Model on Monday, November 30th with our A-L students in-person. M-Z students will return to in-person instruction on Tuesday, December 1st. In order to safely complete the 1st semester in our Hybrid Model, we ask for the following considerations to be made:

  • Students traveling or attending large gatherings for the Thanksgiving Holiday are asked to quarantine until Monday, December 7th and monitor for symptoms
  • Students with direct exposure to Covid-19 or who have family members with Covid like symptoms are asked to quarantine per our normal protocols for 14 days
  • Parents are reminded to call the attendance line to report absences and/or symptoms

Reminder: Students are required to attend in-person learning through the Hybrid Model unless prior designation has been given as a virtual only student.

IC Thanksgiving Prayer Service

The prayer service is available on IC Elmhurst YouTube Channel or IC Catholic Prep’s Facebook Page.

Blue and White Raffle

Just a reminder to turn in your raffle ticket stubs by Tuesday, December 15th to be eligible for the drawing on Friday, December 18.

Financial Aid for 2021-22

An email was sent last week to all parents regarding important deadlines and requirements for 2021-22 financial aid. Please see the attached PDF

Have a safe and healthy Thanksgiving Holiday break.

Thriving together,
