Thirteen Students Scored a ‘Five’ on one or more Advanced Placement Exams
ELMHURST, Ill. – August 31, 2021 – IC Catholic Prep (ICCP) announced today that AP students qualified for twenty-seven Advanced Placement (AP) Scholar Awards in recognition of their exceptional achievement on AP Exams during the 2020-2021 school year. In total, 70% of the ICCP AP exams resulted in a score of 3 or higher based on a scale from 1 to 5, with 5 being the highest possible score. Thirteen students scored a ‘five’ on one or more of the AP exams they took.
Advanced Placement is accepted by more than 3,800 colleges and universities worldwide for college credit, advanced placement, or both, based on successful AP Exam grades. Research consistently shows that AP students who score a 3 or higher on AP Exams typically experience greater academic success in college, and higher graduation rates.
