Elmhurst, IL. – May 25, 2022 – IC Catholic Prep (ICCP) is pleased to announce that Mr. Christopher Haas has been named Athletic Director effective July 1, 2022.
“We are excited to bring someone of Mr. Haas’ background and experience to our school,” said Stephen Davidson, Principal of IC Catholic Prep. “His commitment to Catholic education, student success on and off the field, and his willingness to build on the athletic traditions of IC Catholic Prep were all demonstrated throughout the interview process. We are eager to welcome him to our team.”
Since 2005, Chris Haas has served as a history teacher and the Head Baseball Coach at DePaul College Prep, achieving over 250 wins and numerous Regional and Sectional Championships. In 2017, Chris became the Associate Athletic Director. During his tenure as Associate Athletic Director, he assisted the growth of 20+ athletic teams, along with the day-to-day operations of the Athletic Department under the guidance of Director of Athletics – Patrick Mahoney.

I look forward to working with the student-athletes and coaches of IC Catholic Prep to help guide and lead the direction of our athletic department, while carrying on the strong tradition of academic and athletic success at IC Catholic Prep.”
“Mr. Haas will be a fantastic addition to the Knights’ Family,” Davidson noted. “His experience and leadership in Catholic education and high school athletics align well with the work we have already begun at IC Catholic Prep. We are blessed that he will be a part of our school and help us transition successfully to the CCL and GCAC in 2023-2024.”
