Principal Dispatch—January 2020

SECOND SEMESTER IS UNDERWAY.

We hope that your Winter Break was full of rest, relaxation surrounded by family, friends and loved ones. Our team is ready for the second semester (view photos on Facebook). I am convinced that our team is feeling invigorated for the work ahead of us as we wrap up the 2019-2020 school year. Thank you for being a partner with us.
We celebrated the Class of 2019 Athletic Hall of Fame Inductees, including the 1967 Basketball Team, Jackie Brichetto Croci ‘83, Laurie Zawila Stickler ‘95, and, Charlotte Westhoff Faris ‘98 (read more).
 
Catholic Schools Week is January 26 to February 1 and we will honor two Distinguished Alumni on Wednesday, January 29: Jack Keimel ’69 and Tom Manion ’72.
 
Closing out Catholic Schools Week includes Career Day and Youth Wrestling Knight on Friday, January 31, and Coaches vs. Cancer on Saturday, February 1. Come out and support our Knights.
 
Here are a few highlights from the previous month:
  • Our Counseling and Alumni team hosted seven members of the Class of 2019 at the College Alumni Panel (read more).
  • The Boys and Girls Basketball Teams competed in Holiday tournaments (see results on Twitter: Boys | Girls)
  • Zach Jordan — was selected as Suburban Life Athlete of the Week — as Mr. Clutch (see video on Facebook).
  • Chauncey Lee was recognized as the Suburban Life Athlete of the Week.
  • The Wrestling Team finished 16th overall at the Al Dvorak Memorial Tournament (see more on Facebook).
  • The NFL Raffle hosted by the ICCP Booster Club has concluded another successful year (read more).
  • We shared more Cyber Safety information on our blog about limiting social media (read more).
