Dear ICCP Families and Friends,
On Tuesday, Gov. JB Pritzker announced that remote learning in Illinois will be extended through April 30 in order to slow down the spread of COVID-19. While it is not ideal, we want to assure you that at IC Catholic Prep, our teachers and staff are fully engaged and willing to take on this new challenge and push forward with remote learning and engaging with students.
We are all in this together as guardians over each other, and we need to remain hopeful to get through this extremely challenging time. We’ve concluded our second full week of our e-Learning program and I am happy to report that engagement levels are high among teachers and students. Thank you.
Class of 2020
Yesterday, I met with the Class of 2020 via Zoom and it was amazing to see and hear from the seniors. Fr. Tom Paul recorded a prayer and inspirational message for the meeting. View his remarks. We discussed how this is not the school year that any of us imagined, and I thanked them for their patience, continued leadership, and most of all for their understanding, as we deal with this unprecedented situation together.
Learning Never Stops
As a result of our meeting, the seniors have asked that we host virtual spirit weeks as part of our e-Learning program. We’ll start with our first weekly virtual spirit week theme of “Pets e-Learn with Us” on Monday, April 6 through Wednesday, April 8. Post your pictures and videos of e-Learning with your pets and use hashtags #knightup217 #learningneverstops.
