Each month we will feature a member of our alumni (the League of Knights) to highlight their accomplishments after graduating from IC Catholic Prep. Through April and May we have been speaking to alumni that are on the front lines fighting against COVID-19. The times we live in are scary and uncertain, but we have amazing alumni bringing us hope.
This spotlight features, Nicolette Chilson. After graduating from IC Catholic Prep, Nicolette decided to serve her country by joining the United States Air Force.
ICCP: What was your favorite subject in school?
Nicolette: Choir because I was able to express myself while also learning about music theory. It really allowed me to use learning techniques for all of my other classes as well.
ICCP: What is your best memory from your time at IC?
Nicolette: Cheering at Friday night football games.
ICCP: What are some highlights from your career?
Nicolette: I am currently in training to be a fire fighter in the Air Force. I was a part of the 1st squadron in United States Air Force basic training history to go through all COVID-19 procedures during all weeks of basic military training.
ICCP: What is one other thing you would like to share with IC alumni?
Nicolette: IC prepared me for life in the military through not only education, but the importance of faith and being there for others.
