Principal Dispatch—May 29, 2020

Dear ICCP Families and Friends,

It is with mixed emotions that I pen my first Principal Dispatch to the IC Catholic Prep community as your new Principal. Like many of you, I consider Mr. Tom Schergen a dear friend and colleague and we will miss and remember him for his leadership and commitment to our school, students, and community of stakeholders. I am honored to accept the baton of leadership and follow in Tom’s footsteps. I know that together with our faculty and staff, we will continue to build upon the strengths of our school.

As you already know, IC Catholic Prep is a community of learners dedicated to the development of our student’s spirit, mind, and body. The guiding principles of our school include a rigorous curriculum, critical thinking, and a safe, nurturing environment where students are encouraged to take educational risks and be involved. Our teachers utilize a wide range of instructional practices and opportunities to challenge and meet the needs of all our students.

I will continue to use the Principal Dispatch to communicate important school information to parents and our community. Have a great summer break. Be safe and we will keep you up to date on our plans for Class of 2020 celebrations and the upcoming 2020-2021 school year.

Class of 2020
I share Tom’s pride in how our community came together virtually to honor the graduation of the Class of 2020. Once it is safe to do, we plan to host an in-person celebration on Friday, July 17, 2020. By then, we will be eager not just to celebrate our graduating students, but also to recognize and acknowledge the sacrifices that so many have made to ensure the well-being of our community.

May Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception continue to guide and protect you.

Sincerely,

Stephen Davidson
Principal
