Dear ICCP Families and Friends,
It is with a heavy heart that IC Catholic Prep sends our deepest sympathy to the family of Tom O’Brien. Tom, husband of Lisa, and father of Brendan (2016), Charlie (2018), Jack (2020), and Maggie (2022), passed away on June 2. Tom was a beloved member of the ICCP family and responsible for starting and leading the school’s lacrosse program. We will miss his presence in our lives, at our school, and at our events. Tom was a Knight through and through–once a knight, always a knight. View his Obituary on Gibbons Funeral Home website.

I am proud of our school counselors and campus minister for quickly organizing counseling services for our students. I want to express my gratitude for them and all they do to support our students and community. If you would like to request individual virtual counseling, please contact School Counselor Sindy Ortiz by email.
We Stand Together, We Are IC
Each day we are bombarded by news coverage of protests, racial violence, and the current pandemic. These are challenging and difficult times, and we are mindful that many of our ICCP families and staff live across Chicagoland and their experiences may be drastically different.
It is imperative that we take time to process and feel emotions, talk about the sadness and hurt for the lives lost and for their families who are suffering. IC Catholic Prep stands united in support of our families, students, and community during this difficult time.
We are committed to supporting our students when it comes to providing social-emotional guidance. I want to thank our Theology Department for organizing a Prayer Service for Justice and Peace yesterday for our community to come together and take a moment to reflect. During times of pain, sorrow, hurt, and anger – we turn to our God of mercy, compassion, and love – who guides us to live lives of justice, peace, and humility.
We will continue to surround our young men and women with love, guidance, and resources so they can help us shape and build the society we all deserve. We need each other now more than ever, and I am truly thankful for your commitment and partnership.
May Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception continue to guide and protect you.
Sincerely,
Stephen Davidson
Principal
