Last week the Student Council hosted a phenomenal Fall Spirit Week loaded with a variety of activities and capped off by outdoor movies at Plunkett Athletic Complex. We’re so grateful to everyone who showed their school spirit and Knight pride. A special thank you to our Student Council and moderators, Mrs. Glaesser and Mr. Cosentino. FYI – weather required that we move the Freshmen movie night to Tuesday, October 13 at 6:30pm. Freshmen do not have school on Wednesday, October 14 due to Sophomore and Junior PSAT testing.

The Weeks Ahead
It is hard to believe that there is only a week-and-a-half left of the 1st Quarter. I continue to be extremely impressed with our teachers and students for their commitment to educational excellence. On a daily basis, I witness personal greatness in the classrooms and at-home. In the coming days I want to remind our students to finish the quarter strongly while maintaining a healthy balance between academics and social-emotional well being. Remember to get involved in clubs and activities as a way to connect with your peers.
We have been successful with our hybrid learning model through the hard work and resilience of our teachers, students, and families. For this we are beyond grateful. However, I do recognize the amount of energy this requires on each individual—teacher and student alike. With this in mind, we are modifying the school calendar in the coming weeks and months.
- Monday, November 9, 2020—No School
- Wednesday, January 6, 2021—No School, Teacher Institute
- Thursday, January 7 (A-L)—Classes Resume for Students
- Friday, January 8 (M-Z)—Classes Resume for Students
We will review the second semester school calendar upon return from Christmas Break.
